Since finding out we’re having a girl, I’ve been trying really hard not to go overboard with the purchases. Which, let’s be real, is a STRUGGLE! Instead of buying, I’ve been trying my best to “window shop” all the trendy baby stores online and see which retailers seem to sell the types of baby clothes I’m into. My style? Trendy, mini versions of adult clothes (I seriously get a kick out of babies in real people clothes.) It’s a personal choice but for the most part I’m avoiding pieces with cartoons, disney, and cheesy sayings on them. I’m sure baby girl will make me buy her those things when she’s old enough to sass me, but for now it’s mama’s way or the highway.

PATPAT: BEST OVERALL
Patpat is a gem I found through targeted ads on the internet (I guess they ARE good for something!) It’s basically like Shein but for babies and maternity. The price points are amazing and the variety is great, but the quality isn’t well… quality. That’s not to say it’s awful, it’s just not going to last for years; which honestly is perfect for baby clothes. I don’t want to spend 50 dollars on something my child will outgrow in 2 months.
H&M: BEST BABY SHOES + JACKETS
Holy cute shoes batman! I have to say, out of all the baby sites I’ve visited, I loved the shoe selection for kids at h&m. They are super cute, affordable, and most have quality soles that won’t have your baby slipping and sliding.
OLD NAVY: BEST SALES
The best for finding trendy baby clothes plus huge sales and discounts. In fact, they’re currently running 30% off at checkout (even on sale items) — making some of my picks less than 4 dollars! Plus, if you scour their selection you can find super cute sets and make multiple outfits out of them.
TARGET: BEST VARIETY
To be honest, I thought I would rank target higher on this list, but I didn’t LOVE a lot of what they have to offer. That said, they’re still a top pick because they have one of the largest selections. Their sales are also great, and tbh who doesn’t love target? Mommy might as well add something for herself to the cart too 😉
BUY BUY BABY: BEST ONE STOP SHOP
One of my registries is with BuyBuyBaby so I’ve definitely become very familiar with their inventory. They have a great selection of kids clothing, but more importantly, they have a great selection of literally everything else. This is my go to store when I want to pick up other odds and ends for baby. Plus, they’re the same owners as bed bath & beyond so you can use your 20% off coupons there too! Win win!
Some other honorable mentions are Century 21, the GAP, and TJ Maxx/Marshalls. I’ve found some really cute pieces at all of those stores, but I find them to be a bit more hit-or-miss. Also, the price point for the first two is definitely higher than the stores listed here.
